Lakeside Angling – Willowbrook Lake Overview
Willowbrook Lake is a beautifully laid out, well-stocked fishing lake offering five carefully positioned pegs, each providing a unique angling experience. Surrounded by mature woodland and accessed via a well-maintained gravel footpath, the lake combines peaceful scenery with varied fishing features including reed beds, lily pads, submerged weed areas, and depth changes reaching up to 20ft.
Peg 1 – The Reeds.
Situated along a natural reed-lined margin, this peg is ideal for anglers targeting fish holding close to cover. With nearby lily beds and depths ranging from shallow margins to around 12ft, it’s perfect for both float and feeder fishing.
Peg 2 – Island View
Overlooking the central island, this peg offers excellent opportunities to fish towards structure. The island acts as a natural fish-holding feature, with surrounding depths of around 14ft and nearby weed beds providing consistent action.
Peg 3 – The Drop-Off
A favourite for more experienced anglers, this peg sits beside a clear depth transition, dropping from shallow margins down to deeper water. This natural drop-off creates a prime feeding zone, particularly effective for bottom fishing techniques.
Peg 4 – Willow Point
Set in a quieter corner of the lake, surrounded by overhanging trees, this peg offers a more sheltered and secluded experience. With depths reaching up to 20ft nearby, it’s ideal for targeting larger fish holding in deeper water.
Peg 5 – Boat Bay
Located in a slightly enclosed bay area, this peg features a mix of shallow and mid-depth water with nearby features and margins to explore. It’s a versatile peg suitable for all styles of fishing and great for consistent catches.

Welcome to our Club Match Lake Diary for 2026. Pinehallow Lake designed especially for fishing clubs and organised matches, this booking system allows you to reserve Club Match Lake quickly and easily for your upcoming fixtures.
Club Match Lake is an excellent venue for competitive angling, offering well-spaced pegs, quality fish stocks, and a great setting for enjoyable and fair matches throughout the season.
To ensure exclusive use of the lake for your event, a minimum number of pegs must be booked. Please check the lake booking page for full details on minimum numbers and recommended maximum peg availability.
Peg 1 – The Point
Positioned on a prominent corner of the lake, this peg gives anglers the chance to fish open water as well as tight to the margins. With nearby reed beds and depths running from shallow shelves down to around 14ft, it is an excellent all-round peg for float, feeder, or method fishing.
Peg 2 – North Bay
Set in a peaceful bay with lily pads and natural cover close by, this peg is ideal for targeting fish cruising the margins or holding just off the features. Depths range from shallow edges to around 12ft, making it a productive swim throughout the day.
Peg 3 – East Bank
Located along the longer bank of the lake, this peg offers plenty of water to explore with steady depth changes and nearby deeper channels. It is a great choice for anglers who enjoy fishing at distance or searching for active fish across open water.
Peg 4 – South End
Found in a quieter corner with surrounding trees and cover, this peg provides a more secluded fishing experience. With access to deeper water nearby and marginal features to target, it can be especially rewarding for larger fish.
Peg 5 – The Deep
One of the most popular swims on the lake, this peg sits close to some of the deepest water, reaching around 20ft. Ideal for bottom fishing and feeder tactics, it is a prime area for fish holding in cooler conditions or during pressure changes.
